We recognize that TOLI inhabits just one corner of kingdom work. There are so many other organizations that care deeply for their communities and have a great impact around the world, and right here in Colorado Springs (where our headquarters are located).
In this season of generous giving, we thought it would be fun to expand our horizons and introduce you to a few ministries that we love and think you will too! Perhaps one or more will touch your heart and compel you to partner in some way.
Life Center Ethiopia — TOLI is proud to be a recent partner with Life Center as we launch in Ethiopia. Life Center is an organization that exists to be the light of hope for the hopeless. Their mission is to equip orphans for a transformed life by providing their material, education and spiritual needs as well as to empower widows for self-reliance through private business models by providing skill development, vocational training, and financial micro-loans. Compassion International — Compassion is a “child-advocacy ministry pairing compassionate people with children living in extreme poverty to release the children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty.” Like TOLI, Compassion partners with local churches. “Every sponsored child is linked with a Christ-centered church in his or her community. Compassion partners with over 7,500 evangelical church partners in 25 countries around the world.” See how you can sponsor a child and release him or her from poverty in Jesus’ name.
Hope International — Hope International’s mission is to invest in the dreams of families in the world’s underserved communities as they proclaim and live the Gospel. Like TOLI, Hope International believes families in poverty have the God-given talents and skills to provide for their families. What they don’t have is a lump sum of money to invest in their potential—by paying school fees, saving for the future, or investing in businesses. Living Water International — Living Water International “exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water and to experience ‘living water’—the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone satisfies the deepest thirst.” Check out their website to find out how to support the effort to provide clean water and possibly even travel with one of their well-digging teams!
The Outreach Foundation — The Outreach Foundation (TOF) helps churches and individuals engage with Christ’s work around the world in life-changing ways. Through its proven network of ministries, churches, missionaries, and projects, TOF helps connect those called to serve alongside fellow believers — even in the hardest places. TOLI’s partner ministry Comet House Children’s Home is a TOF-affliliated program.
Thrive Network — If there was ever a kindred spirit to TOLI on a local level, Thrive is it. Like TOLI, they seek to provide opportunity through entrepreneurship and business training. “The number of high-poverty neighborhoods in the U.S. has nearly tripled. 43% of Americans can’t pay for food or rent. Thrive is on a mission to create opportunity and restore community and economic development through education, entrepreneurship, and economic growth.” Partner with Thrive to give individuals in Southeast Colorado Springs the opportunity to succeed.
